The model is seriously awesome—the individual rooms, the obvious details, all the features, and all the little things that only reveal themselves at second glance—it’s seriously AWESOME.
BUT
it’s so incredibly frustrating that you constantly get the feeling that pieces are missing; they turn up in other bags (sometimes 20 bags later), but when you’re just about to build and you’re missing 1–3 pieces multiple times to keep going, the whole fun is lost….
… I’ve already reordered bricks three times because I couldn’t find the missing ones, and since I’m only about halfway through, I really don’t feel like continuing to build…..
… I also seriously doubt the compatibility with the original bricks; the existing bricks can only be placed on original bricks with brute force.
The 2412 / 30244 bricks (1×2 grid tiles) fit so poorly that they just fall right off—they don’t hold at all.
A few bricks are also simply broken—either due to insufficient material during the manufacturing process or because they melted after production (2 out of all the bricks).
The whole thing is very frustrating.

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback — we’re really glad you’re enjoying the model itself, but we’re genuinely sorry about the frustrating build experience. To give some context for other readers: this issue was actually specific to a small number of the initial early-release version of this set. It was identified and fixed on the updated version we now ship, so newer orders won’t have these problems. Sorry again for the inconvenience! Please reach out to us directly and we’ll send free replacements for the defective parts (broken bricks, poorly-fitting 2412/30244 tiles) so you can finish the build properly. We want you to enjoy this one all the way through!
